Discovery Sessions (Roaring Twenties – Private)
About: As an extension to our new Cocktail Experience, Discovery Sessions will be taking one-off monthly deep-dives into a select number of the world’s most famous mixed drinks through a variety of themes.
Tour Details: In the world of mixed drinks the 1920s are often viewed as a troubled period with the Prohibition of alcohol affecting the United States and parts of Canada, however the global spread of the American Bar and economic prosperity following World War I paints a different picture. Along with social, artistic and cultural change a host of drinks such as the Corpse Reviver #2, Old Pal, Bee’s Knees, French 75, Southside Fizz, Aviation and Hanky Panky all stemmed from the decade; making it one that should be celebrated. The session will be hosted by our founder Adam Elan-Elmegirab; author of the ‘Book of Bitters’ and ‘How to Fix the Perfect Cocktail’ and formerly a multi-award winning bartender, UK Bartender of the Year Finalist, and judge for the ‘World’s 50 Best Bar Awards’, ‘Tales of the Cocktail’s Spirited Awards’ and ‘The Great British Food Awards’.
