THE HOUSE OF BOTANICALS

Established in 2009 as the oldest bartender-owned brand in the United Kingdom, The House of Botanicals Distillery in Aberdeen is home to three brands of botanical based spirits including The House of Botanicals GinsDr. Adam’s Cocktail Bitters, and the Italian influenced Pietro Nicola range of Aperitivi & Digestivo.

Situated in Aberdeen City Centre in the railway arches behind Union Square Shopping Centre, our Gin Tour & TastingThe Art of the Aperitivo, and Cocktail Experience sessions provide a unique opportunity to visit the home of one of the world’s most diverse craft spirit brands, and learn more about our range of multi award-winning spirits.

To book a set date simply visit our Tour & Tasting Calendar or purchase a Tour Ticket to be allocated against a future session.

Following an arrival Gin & Tonic and introduction in our on-site tasting room, attendees will be shown around our production floor for a behind-the-scenes look at the production processes involved in our Old Tom and Dry Gins, before returning to The Library for a further tasting of The House of Botanicals Gin portfolio.

Please note: Voucher price includes a 70cl bottle of Classic, Maple or Raspberry Old Tom Gins, or the ABZ Dry Gin. This can be collected on the day, on a date following the tasting, or posted to you free of charge.

Following an arrival Bicicletta (Pescaro Aperitif, Contratto Bitter & Soda Water) and introduction in our on-site tasting room, attendees will sample our Pietro Nicola portfolio in Italian style cocktails, expertly paired with light bites.

Please note: Voucher price includes a 50cl bottle of our Nocino, Pescaro, Caffè Margaux or Limoncello. This can be collected on the day, on a date following the tasting, or posted to you free of charge.

Following an introduction and welcome drink in our tasting room, attendees will sample four beverages and be taken through the last two hundred years of mixed drinks; showcased via our range of spirits.

Serves will include the likes of the Limmer’s Punch, Martinez, Martini, Gimlet, Perfect Lady, Corpse Reviver #2, Clover Club, Army & Navy, Bramble and London Calling to name just a few of the serves to feature throughout the year. Sessions will be hosted by our founder Adam Elan-Elmegirab, author of the ‘Book of Bitters’, and formerly a multi-award winning bartender, UK Bartender of the Year Finalist, and judge for the ‘World’s 50 Best Bar Awards’ and ‘Tales of the Cocktail’s Spirited Awards’.

The House of Botanicals Tour & Tasting Season Ticket entitles the bearer to attend one session of each of our distillery tours which includes our Gin Tour & Tasting, Art of the Aperitivo, and Cocktail Experience.
